Reflection for Sept. 18, 2022

Everyday choices

Our decisions can -- and do -- celebrate the love of God

Sister Carolyn Zahringer

We are met with many questions each day. In what or whom will we place our trust?

Our Baptism was the beginning of our faith journey. As Christians, we are meant to choose God above all as we journey from day to day, moment to moment.

The readings this weekend focus on choices. May we journey with living faith to make our responses to the daily questions with a measure of confidence. God is faithful.

How will we respond when tempted to be untrustworthy or dishonest at home, at work, in our casual conversations?

How will our lives give witness to Jesus as we journey through each day?

As Matthew Kelly of Dynamic Catholic states in his writings and presentations: "Be brave, be bold, be Catholic!”

Great questions, Sr. Carrie. Allowing the love and light of Jesus to shine and spread through us to all around us is a choice we have in each moment. Thanks for the reminder!

I loved the probing questions and the statement by Matthew Kelly - he's a good one!

My best to all the Sisters. I miss visiting you folks.

This Thursday is first day of Fall and next Sunday is three months from Christmas. (Ho! Ho!) These times - they are a changing...
