Have you had those experiences when for no reason at all you remember something important you had forgotten, or you run into an old friend you haven't seen in a long time and he/she says something you needed to hear, or you hear a song on the car radio that resonates with your life and brings a tear to your eye or a smile to your heart?
If you think such moments are random or purely by chance, take some time with the first reading for this Sunday from the Prophet Isaiah 45:4,6.
I believe God loves us beyond our comprehension and is near and ready to give help or comfort whether we ask for it or not. Much of the time we go through life unaware or weighed down by troubles and sorrow. Let us walk through this day with a heightened awareness that our God is with us and is blessing us with good from "the rising to the setting of the sun."
A sign of God's grace: Thank you for inviting me to share. I was recently walking w/others in support of the unborn child and a group of 4 lady's were walking together praying the rosary. I followed closely behind to try to participate. They stopped, turned to me and asked if I would care to lead a rosary. In humility I accepted, but quickly learned that I didn't know my way around the rosary as I had years earlier @ St. Boniface. The lady's picked up on this and w/o skipping a beat, by the grace of God, directed & encouraged me on how to start the prayers...At that very moment I felt truly embraced by the Spirit!
Being a salesman, I often struggle with making that last call at the end of the day. However, more often that not I am thanking God for giving me the kick in the butt to make that last call. I may not always get an order, but I always feel God's presence after.
Yes, from the rising of the sun to its going down God is with us. Thank you, Sister Mary
Yesterday, my wife and I went to the "Right to Life" dinner and fund raiser in Green Bay. On the drive to the dinner we get a call from our daughter and son-in-law. They said they have some good news. They told us they are expecting their first child.
God's Graces are many and sometimes very timely!
Mary, your reflection has made me realize all of the miracles in my life! We have been rescued so many times!
