Reconciliation readies us for the 40 days of Lent

“Repent and believe in the Gospel.” ~ Mark 1:15
God is waiting for you this Lent.
Because of COVID-19 many of us have not had the opportunity for the sacrament of reconciliation for about a year. So let’s review our Catechism:
Where?
In the reconciliation room or confessional of any church
In the person of any priest – young or old
In the one tribunal (court) where the sentence is absolution
Why?
To pardon all your sins
To help you not to do them again
To return you to peace and tranquility
To begin a new life without charges pending
How?
With open arms
Without rancor
Receiving you as a child returning to a loving home
“Repent and believe in the Gospel.”
Isn't the Holy Spirit so clever? :)
