The mystery of the Holy Trinity is not a puzzle to solve but a truth to live
by Sister Agnes Fischer
It was Christ who revealed that there is one true God in three distinct Persons, that they do not divide the one divinity, but each of them is entirely God.
Already the Old Testament began to prepare the people for this revelation, inviting them to listen to the Wisdom of God.
Little by little the apostles began to understand the meaning of Jesus' words, when he spoke to them of his Father and promised them the Spirit of truth.
They learned that Jesus was Lord, the son of God sent by the Father, and when they experienced the action of the Holy Spirit within their hearts, they began to penetrate the mystery that God was Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The mystery of the Holy Trinity is the central mystery of faith and of Christian life.
Today’s second reading tells us that we are all called to participate in the life of the Blessed Trinity.
We live under the sign of the cross, "In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."
How important is this Sign in my life?
Is it really a prayer for me?
