Artificial Intelligence… or Authentic Incarnation?

Let's make Christmas about the real reason

The world of technology continues to grow and develop. AI -- artificial intelligence -- has become a household term. A person can hardly listen to the news without hearing something about AI and all of its possibilities for good and for bad.

Reflecting on where AI might be leading, I had to ask myself a question: Has our society become artificial? Does the way we speak, and spend our money convey a value system consisting of layers of pretense? And then I have to ask myself, what about Christmas? With all of its glamour and glitz, has it become an artificial holiday?

Christmas is about reality. It’s about a real God Who sent His Son, born of a real woman, at a real time in a real place. It’s about a Savior identifying with the reality of the human condition by accepting a stable for His birthplace and a manger for His crib. He was in solidarity with us.

 I invite us to journey to Bethlehem during this holy season and to focus our attention on the AI! An Amazing Incarnation of an Awesome Infant. And let us rejoice!
