Sister Angela Palm

A Franciscan value important to me is simplicity. It helps me focus on God without obstacles, either materially or mentally. As a Pastoral Associate of Stella Maris Parish in Northern Door County, Wisconsin, I find that simplicity helps me to be more peaceful in serving the parishioners at our five worship sites, trusting always that the Lord knows what is best for us all.

Formerly I was a teacher for 37 years following in the footsteps of the Sisters of my community who were my teachers during my grade school years. During that time I was also a Religion Education teacher and in time became a Religious Education coordinator in a parish.

But I have other interests as well. During summers I enjoyed cooking at retreat houses. When we began our Sisters' Bazaars to raise funds for our newly built Motherhouse, I initiated the baking of homemade cream puffs, which became quite an attraction. I also have long enjoyed making crafts especially decorative arrangements for holidays.
