Georgia is a native of West Allis but lived sixth to ninth grades in Antigo. In the years following, Georgia and her family moved to St. Francis.

Over the years Georgia studied and worked various jobs as a switchboard operator, Sunday school teacher, student pilot, and mail clerk. She took up these jobs in various places from Baltimore to Southern California and a few places in between. Georgia eventually moved to the St. Francis area where she resides to this day.

It was in the mid-1990s that Georgia entered the Clinical Pastoral Education program at St. Luke Medical Center, Milwaukee. She met her supervisor, Sister Geraldine Krautkramer, who along with Sister Anne Margaret Carmody encouraged and introduced her to the Associate Relationship.

Since 1994 Georgia has been a certified Catholic chaplain, journeying with sick or dying individuals and their families. Last fall she started a group for widows and widowers through her parish, Sacred Heart of Jesus. Georgia has been a longtime volunteer for the Murrow Indian Children’s Home in Muskogee, OK; is a board member for a free clinic; has tutored people who are underserved or homeless; and has helped people with AIDS. She enjoys planting perennials in her back yard which is a haven for birds, butterflies, and bees.
